Bridgeland’s newest dining hot spot has taken over the space in the historic de Waal building formerly occupied by Il Sogno. Owner/chef Neil McCue has returned to Calgary to serve up his take on contemporary British food and it’s good, like really good.
We’re quite sure there isn’t anything bad on this menu but standouts include the Le 1608—a double baked cheese soufflé, and the cod served with brown butter, parsley root and smoked cream. The super chic bar is also the perfect place to grab a couple drinks—there’s a healthy selection of gin behind the bar.
Happy Hour, indeed. — Sara Samson
