Canadiana Gift Guide

December 8, 2020

The border may be closed, but a plethora of Canadian-made gifts available locally and across the country means there’s no need to head south to do our Christmas shopping. Here are some ideas to get you started! —Amanda Nunes

This made-in-Montreal round Olivia bag ($130) by Lambert will turn heads. Not only is it convertible (it alternates between a shoulder bag, backpack and handbag) but it’s made from vegan leather and has tonnes of handy compartments.

Fingers will stay warm clad in Kombi’s Maggie Faux Fur Mittens ($100). The brand’s latest invention features soft leather mittens with magnetic openings, lined with moisture-wicking wool.

Is there anything more Canadian than these Main & Local poutine socks ($13)? Yeah, we didn’t think so either.

This gorgeous Beam Paints Birch Watercolour set ($60) is eco-friendly and practical. Eleven handmade watercolours are packaged on a palette made from reclaimed wood on Manitoulin Island in Ontario.

Lips will get a sheer tint of moisturizing colour with Bite Beauty’s Agave + Lip Tint Tin ($18).

Coffee will arrive in a flash from Dispatch Coffee’s monthly subscription service ($45). Dispatch sources and roasts coffee from more than 13 countries and delivers right to your door. The beans are ethically sourced, the bags are biodegradable, and they’ll grind the beans or deliver them whole. Your choice!
