The Absolute Tops In Transfer-Proof Makeup

While we understand and advocate for the importance of wearing face masks these days, that doesn’t mean we’re OK with our makeup slipping and sliding underneath. Lately we’ve been opting for cosmetic products designed specifically to be budge proof. Here are some of our faves. —Vicki Duong

primer. When it comes to creating the perfect long-wearing makeup look, it always starts with the base. We adore Hydro Grip Primer ($40) from Milk Makeup that clings to complexion products while providing a smoother canvas. With cannabis seed extract to hydrate and smooth skin, this primer also has a unique, almost sticky, texture that helps your foundation last all day.

foundation. When it comes to transfer-resistant foundation, the drugstore has plenty of options. One of our faves is Milani Conceal & Perfect ($15) that combines foundation and concealer in one full-coverage product. With an extensive shade range, Milani aims to create the perfect canvas for all skin tones.

eyeliner. Ever since Quo Beauty revamped its entire collection, we can’t get enough of the new formulas! One of our faves: the new Liquid Precision Marker ($12) for the sharpest cat liner look. Richly pigmented and available in six shades, each felt tip glides like a dream saturated with colour.

lip gloss. The lippy that seems to be good to be true, NYX Shine Loud High Shine Lip Colour ($15) is a glossy formula that stays put, even with mask! The dual-ended product features a high-pigmented base coat and a glossy, non-sticky top coat. Our favourite shade is Ambition, the perfect peachy brown.

setting spray. Seal it in with a spritz—a spritz of new Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Setting Spray ($41). A TikTok favourite, this hydrating, alcohol- and oil-free spray sets makeup for up to 16 hours without melting or settling into fine lines. This ultra-fine mist creates a weightless veil and increases longevity. Despite being a new addition to the line, we wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out to be a new staple.
