treat poppers. These are fun to make and fun to unwrap! Place a toilet paper roll in the middle of a piece of tissue paper and up. Tie off one end. Fill with small candies, chocolates or small toys and then tie off the other end. Decorate with foam shapes or stickers.

cupid’s arrows. These can be made with wooden skewers or straws, or something edible like a long lollipop or a chocolate bar. Fashion a triangular end out of coloured cardstock or use a candy such as a Hershey kiss. Attach a few coloured feathers to the other end.

coloured crayons. Buy a silicone heart-shaped mould (they sell them at the dollar store) and gather up all those broken bits of crayons (paper removed). Use an assortment of different colours in each heart shape and bake at 350 for 5-7 minutes or until completely melted. Remove from oven and use a toothpick to swirl the colours. Cool and pop out.

valentine’s day bag. Use two paper plates and punch evenly-spaced-out holes around the perimeter of the plates, leaving a blank space on the top. Weave yarn in between the holes to secure the two plates together. Add a longer section of yarn for a strap. Have your child decorate their bag.

candy bouquet. Gather up some lollipops and paper cupcake liners. Poke a hole in the centre of the cupcake liners and thread it onto the lollipop stick, sliding it up so the candy is the middle of your flower. Make several and bunch them together.
