As the first snowfall of the season hit the West Coast this weekend (I know, I know) we finally got to test our new snowshoes on Cypress Mountain. We bypassed the crowded trails and headed to the very end of the parking lot where there is a free hikers’ access trail.
Thirty minutes up, and – whew- we arrive at the cosy, retro 1926 Hollyburn Lodge for their famous vegetarian chili and French fries.
Looks like we’re not alone after all!
Super lightweight and easy to put on (even wearing mitts!) i’ve now earned my couch time watching Sochi!
