A Cocktail Shakespeare Would Love

May 27, 2021

Here’s a literary addition to our liquor cabinet: romeo’s gin X is a fruity and refreshing serve perfect for the sunny season, made with a watermelon distillate and base aromas of juniper, cucumber, lavender, dill, lemon and almond. In collaboration with The Artful Vandal, Miss Me, the bottle itself is also a work of art! And, to celebrate this drink hitting shelves on the West Coast, we’re mixing up the following cocktail, in time for what promises to be a warm weekend. —Vita Daily

Fresh Grapefruit & Watermelon Cocktail

1 ½ oz of romeo’s gin X
½ oz of sherry solera medium
¾ oz of fresh lemon juice
½ oz of grapefruit juice
½ oz of grenadine
2 dashes of Bittered Sling Suius Cherry bitters
1 oz of egg white
Garnish: half grapefruit wheel

Combine all ingredients into a shaker and add one ice cube. Dry shake your cocktail with one ice cube to get your egg whites extra frothy. Fill the shaker with ice, and hard shake. Fine strain your cocktail into a Collins glass with fresh ice. Garnish with large, half grapefruit wheel (optional).
