Could there be a more suitable marriage? The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) have announced a multi-year partnership with the iconic Vancouver-based athletic apparel brand, who will become the Official Outfitter of Team Canada until the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
What does that mean for our Olympic athletes? They’ll wear lululemon gear for every athlete, coach and team member for the whole Games, from start to finish, including—we hope—plenty of outings on the winners’ podium. The kit will be revealed next month and will make its first professional appearance at the Beijing 2022 Winter Games.
You don’t have to be a champion athlete to get a touch of Olympic magic. The brand has launched a selection of apparel for consumers, including an oversized crew, T-shirt, and, of course, yoga pants, with more designs launching in October. The key product is the Future Legacy Bag, a new special-edition item. Ten per cent of the sales of each one sold will support the Canadian Olympic Foundation and Paralympic Foundation of Canada. These organisations support athletes through their training, at both community and elite levels.
