Right in the heart of downtown Cabo, the open-air, lantern-filled restaurant at the boutique Bahia Hotel gets so busy at dinner it overtakes the lobby. And there is good reason: the food, music and ambiance are all outstanding. Owned by a group of high-profile New York bankers, the hotel is undergoing a room-by-room renovation, but we kind of loved the charm of the original rooms with their kitchenettes and plaster scallop shell over the bed, all for under $150/night. www.bahiacabo.mx/en.htm
