6 Pairs Of Winter Boots You Won’t Regret Wearing

October 26, 2021

Last winter, we waxed poetic about winter boots. This season, we’ve taken steps to update our top picks. —Aileen Lalor

anfibio mia boots. These ankle-high boots are made in Canada from waterproof suede, are lined with natural wool, and have laces for the rugged hiking boot look, and zips for practicality.

baffin yellowknife. The most versatile cold-weather boot you’ll ever try—this is tested on the Tundra, completely waterproof and wool-lined, with a foam lining for comfortable hiking.

call it spring kelsey boots. A lug sole, round toe and elastic side panel give these the classic Chelsea-boot look, but they’re completely vegan and made from sustainable materials including recycled mattresses.

canada goose journey boots. The first boots from this iconic homegrown brand, these are inspired by Alpine hiking boots (and will be available on November 12, 2021). That means they’re eminently practical, constructed to ensure flexibility and arch support, but also, so good to look at—we’re reminded of those images of Lady Gaga in après-ski-wear on the set of  “House of Gucci.”

dr. marten’s x herschel combs II boots. A match made in heaven, these combine the best of our favourite Vancouver and U.K. brands. They’re from weather-resistant Cordura nylon (like many of Herschel’s backpacks) and have Nubuck leather details, plus hiking-inspired black-and-white braided laces and reflective webbing on the tongue. The finishing touches? The iconic Dr. Marten’s yellow stitching, AirWair heel loop and smoke-coloured sole.

olang glamour rosso boots. These wool-lined boots are breathable, comfortable up to -30 deg C and have the Italian brand’s special flip-out cleat for ultimate ice gripping. The knee-high design means you stay cosy and protected even in surprisingly deep slushy puddles.

These boots look amazing and sound like the very best choices for keeping your feet warm but also safe to navigate winter hazzards. My faves are definitely the olang glamour rosso boots. Absolutely gorgeous!
