We love a new mug, and these releases from Our Place are really speaking to us!
The cult-favourite brand behind the Instagram-famous Always Pan is honouring the beloved ritual of family brunch with a special new Traditionware Collection dedicated to the queer community, with 20 per cent of proceeds going toward Toronto’s The 519’s Food Security Program to alleviate food insecurity among LGBTQ2S communities, families and neighbours. The range includes a Full of Pride Mug (sold as a set of two) big enough for your fave brunch beverages, a healthy heap of parfait, or scooping and serving fruits, created designed in partnership with Viviana Matsuda of Mudwitch, whose pottery is known to be uneven, smooth, freckled, chubby and beautiful in all its diversity and uniqueness.
“This past year has been a difficult time for our queer communities since we were unable to gather, so I designed these mugs to celebrate that feeling of being together around the brunch table with chosen family,” says Viviana. “I painted them with stripes that honour our community’s many unique identities and intersections.”
