Hi Mary! Please tell us a bit about yourself to start.

I’m a Canadian TV personality now living in LA. I love it … but Canada always feels like home. I have always loved fashion and hair, so I was thrilled when Locks & Mane approached me about collaborating on a headband. Headbands really do solve bad hair days and I’ve loved the creative process!

What made it a perfect partnership for you?

Jenn, the founder, is an amazing businesswoman and person. Her dedication to her business really impressed me and her approach to philanthropy and giving back through her business was very personal and real. As soon as we met I knew it was going to be a great match!

Tell us about the headband, and what makes it a great NYE accessory?

It’s black faux fur so it’s extra luxe. I love the shape of the headband—it looks good with hair up or down but definitely makes you feel like you have more hair, which is always great!

Does the headband work with hair extensions, as well?

Yes! It looks great with hair extensions. Locks & Mane has beautiful clip-in hair extensions, too. Everything looks better with more hair!

Top styling tips?

I love it with hair up or down. I like to clip my hair down on each side before putting on the headband for the best, sharpest centre part. I remove the clips after and voila!

Tell us how you’ll style your headband this holiday season, and where you plan to wear it!

There is nowhere I haven’t worn the headband! I love it casually with jeans and a sweater or with a cocktail dress. It’s meant to be worn with both. It’s really easy to wear! I love the idea of it with a little black dress and big warm coat and boots for NYE. Do not forget the earrings—a good headband lets you show off your earrings!
