New Undergarment Launches For Adults, Tweens & Teens (Win!)

A new line of age-appropriate and comfort-first line of undergarments for tweens and teens from Australian-based luxury-lingerie company Sevigne, aims to take the guesswork out of lingerie shopping for women and young girls, bringing together matching sets that are both refined and comfortable, made using high-quality fabrics that feel luxurious and soft on the skin. We chatted with founders Natalie and Mirela Bazina to find out more, and to learn about Sevigne’s other launches ahead of Valentine’s Day. —Noa Nichol

Hello, Natalie and Mirela! When and why did you launch Sevigne?

The question of “where do you buy your bras from” was asked, and both of our answers were “gosh, I don’t think I have bought a bra since I had my last baby—even before that”. And when we continually asked this question of others, so many had the same response. It was because they, like us, were unable to find something that was lovely, just for everyday wear.

What niche were/are you aiming to fill?

We were hoping to help women who needed a nice, everyday bra that still felt a bit special, that has an achievable price and didn’t have too much padding, or too much in terms of embellishment. We wanted something that would be really comfortable and felt as beautiful on as it looks off.

What makes your products consumer-friendly and unique?

Each of our pieces are made with intention; not wanting to compromise a luxurious experience, fit or feel, with a conscious price point. Lingerie shopping is not a one-style-fits-all experience, and we wanted to create unique pieces that women of all shapes, curves, and sizes would feel confident and comfortable in. Our products are all about enhancing what you already have and embracing your natural shape with coordinating sets that feel put together—like an added ease of elegance. With numerous bra styles featuring slightly moulded cups, or beautiful, soft, and sheer lace details, an extended size range from A to J, and bottom sizes from XS to 5XL, as well as a diverse range of well-cut bottoms to select from, there is truly something for everyone to feel like your unique and authentic self in—in whichever style you select.

Sevigne makes some of the loveliest, lux-est lingerie for adults, so we’re excited about the launch of your new line for tweens and teens. Can you please tell us more about Sevigne Jolie, why you created it, what it is and who it’s for?

Similar to our own experience, our own daughters have reached the age where they need support, we found that we couldn’t head into a lingerie department to buy them something that was age-appropriate—gone are the days of the training bra. Yet the options that were available were just not right for them. We created Sevigne Jolie to suit younger girls that are perhaps developing a little early, and then for those pre-teens and teens that want to feel supported in something that is also on-trend.

You’ve also added some fresh sets to the core Sevigne Collection, including a new La Fete balconette-style bra and six matching bottoms to the core La Base Collection. Where do you find inspo for new styles?

We are both products of growing up in the 1990s, and the fashion of the time is one of our favourite decades. Our Cindy style is a homage to this era, along with the rest of our La Fete Collection being named after our favourite Supermodels. We can see ourselves wearing the Amber Bra—with the beautiful gold lurex, just sneaking out of a little slip dress.

Final question: what’s your go-to daily bra?

Natalie: My go-to each day is our Rue Bra…and always matched with our Bijou. I love that the cup has minimal padding, and also how the brief sits.

Mirela: I love our new Naomi Bra. The shade of the magenta is beautiful, the spot mesh is our signature, and the cup creates a lovely shape and I love the cut of the brief.
