a $60 burger to celebrate a 60th anniversary @ breckenridge, co. Since opening its slopes for the first time in 1961, Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado has paved the way for innovation, access and high alpine adventure, from installing the world’s first high-speed quad to operating the highest chairlift in North America. This season skiers and riders can tuck into a $60 burger befitting Breck’s rich history. Served in the high alpine at Sevens restaurant inside the Grand Lodge on Peak 7, Breck’s 60th Anniversary Burger contains 8oz of Wagyu beef, Cambozola cheese, shaved truffles, a fried duck egg, foie gras butter, Parmigiano Reggiano and a side of decadent duck fat fries. Pair it with a bottle of Dom Perignon or sip on the 60’s Sour, made with Breckenridge Bourbon, WhistlePig maple syrup and a dash of fresh citrus and spice.

the hythe vail offers a haven for elevated après experiences @ vail, co. The Revel Lounge in Vail offers skiers an elevated après that encourages relaxation and recovery after a  day on the slopes. Get comfy on cosy lounge seating in front of a crackling fire to enjoy a bacon flight, a sweet and savoury sampling of everyone’s favourite protein including candied and chocolate-dipped bacon strips. Good luck deciding on a cocktail from the extensive list of handcrafted sips curated and created by Sean Kenyon of Williams and Graham; we recommend the Revel Old Fashioned to pair with the sweet and smoky elements of the bacon flight. The perfect way to end a day well-spent.

classic canadian après with out-of-this-world views @ whistler blackcomb, bc. Whistler Blackcomb’s Umbrella Bar, located in Whistler’s alpine at a lofty perch of 1,825 metres, may be best known for Aubrey Gordon, the head bartender. Many destination visitors find themselves at this iconic round bar with panoramic views of the Coast Mountain range simply because a local has advised them that “when in Whistler, you have to try a Caesar from Aubrey at the Umbrella Bar”.

cabin vibes at the gravity haus’s snow cabanas @ breckenridge, co. Gravity Haus Breckenridge’s winter Snow Cabanas sit slope-side and offer sessions for up to eight people, three times a day. Beverages and bites are supplied by the adjacent Cabin Juice and each cabana features a dining table, loveseat, coat rack, heater, café lights, bluetooth speaker, charging station and board games to create a lively gathering space. Tuck into farm fresh produce and proteins; the chicken sandwich is next level and the Haus gin and tonic with orange blossom and mint is a refreshing way to kick off the most elevated après experience on Colorado’s front range.

tōst with bubbles and mountain views @ northstar ski resort, tahoe california. This daily toast to a day well spent in the Sierras is a Northstar tradition. Complimentary bubbly (or apple cider) is poured everyday at 2 p.m. at the top of the East Ridge ski run. Cowbells add to the festive feel of this alpine celebration. Light snacks (and more bubbly) are available for purchase so kick back and enjoy the view.

classic times at lodge at vail’s new retro and rewind après @ vail, co. Built as the first hotel in Vail, Lodge at Vail is an iconic destination and offers a memorable apres experience at the base of Vail Mountain. Head here to throwback to the good times with live music Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 3pm-6pm. Classic times demand classic drinks so belly up to the bar in your ski boots for a Manhattan.

henry’s hut & dine with a dog @ vail, co. Vail Mountain invites guests to slide on over to Henry’s Hut, Rocky’s Roadhouse and Buffalo’s located at the top of Chairs 4, 5 and 11. Vail Mountain and their partners at Helly Hansen invested in a new and expanded deck, interior improvements and more seating, at the Dogtown Deck.  Henry’s Hut is the perfect place to grab a quick bite from Rocky’s Roadhouse (located outside of Buffalo’s) and catch your breath.  Guests should keep a lookout over Dogtown where they will be able to spot Henry watching after younger patrol dogs Jake, Rocky and Cowgirl as they train and keep their skills sharp.  Vail Mountain and Helly Hansen also launched Dine with a Dog, where guests can grab a bite to eat and meet-and-greet our patrollers and patrol dogs.  Dine with a Dog occurs every Sunday afternoon at Henry’s Hut.  Buffalo’s is named after legendary Vail Ski Patroller “Buffalo” Mikottis; Rocky’s Roadhouse is named after Vail Ski Patrol Avalanche Rescue Dog, Rocky; and Henry’s Hut is of course named after Vail’s first Avalanche Rescue Dog, Henry.

trail’s end treats ends the day on a sweet note @ vail, co. Vail Mountain, in partnership with Toyota, launched Trail’s End Treats at Golden Peak, a new outdoor food & beverage experience.  Trail’s End Treats serves kids’ confections from a vintage Airstream that harkens back to Vail’s early days.  This picture-perfect retreat near Children’s Ski and Snowboard School and Vail’s lower-mountain beginner terrain offers hot-cocoa and other treats.  Vail Mountain launched this as the perfect place to rest under 300 blue sky days a year.  Special Kids Après events will be a unique part of this new food & beverage location.
