Mile End Hummus Bar Invites us to Give Peas a Chance

And so we visited Birona Hummus Bar on the Main and did just that.

If the lengthy menu overwhelms, do yourself a favour and stop at the first item: Le Traditionel ($11.75), featuring a generous portion of luscious, homemade hummus (it’s worlds apart from the pre-made grocery store stuff, we promise), served with piping hot pita bread and coleslaw. Warning: It’s addictive.

There are also plenty of Mediterranean inspired sandwiches and salads to choose from, cementing this cozy Mile End eatery’s status as a go-to lunchtime spot.
