There’s nothing better in summer than enjoying long sunny days with the furry members of the family, and dog-friendly patios are a perfect place for unwind time when the adventures are done.
This summer, Uncle Abe’s on Main Street in Vancouver is going beyond dog-friendly to make its patios dog-positive by adding a play area, custom Abe’s dog treats and chew toys, and by introducing Vancouver’s first doggie cocktail menu. Tasty dog-friendly zero-alcohol “dogtails” like the “Wagermelon” with coconut milk, watermelon chunks and mint, or the “Barkberry” with muddled raspberries and blueberries will cool down the hottest pooch. And humans can get refreshed, too, with people-friendly versions that add a little dash of rum or gin to the drink.
The dog days of summer officially kick off from on Sunday, June 12, with a special “Yappy Hour” party featuring extra treats for the pups from Ray’s Dog Treats and Tail Town, and Parkside Brewery prizes and drink and snack deals for humans. —Vita Daily
