I broke with tradition last night and, rather than watch The Bachelor Canada with my husband, gathered a group of my best girlfriends (sorority sisters from way back when), broke out a bottle (or two) of Two Oceans Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot and settled in for the first of the two-part season finale.
The episode had us hanging onto our stemless wine glasses (realty show viewing party tip: these greatly lessen the chances of spillage) as Chris Leroux struggled to make a decision between the two remaining ladies: publicist Lyndsey and fashion pr pro Mikaela (a.k.a., blonde versus brunette). On a pirate ship and, later, in a really cute love note, Mikaela clearly told Chris she wants to wed (him) while, on their healing spa date, Lyndsey assured Chris that, no matter what her family may think of him, she’s got his back. However, after the women meet Chris’ parents, it seems Mikaela is in the lead (at least, as far as mom and dad Leroux are concerned). Given the chemistry between Chris and Lyndsey, though, we’re really not sure which way this is going to go …
One thing’s for sure, though: it will be DRAMATIC! Be sure to tune into The Bachelor Canada next Wednesday at 9 p.m. on W Network for the Women Tell All and on December 21 for the finale episode—oh, and don’t forget the wine. —Noa Nichol
