Ice cream, ice cream, we all bike for ice cream! On July 1, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is launching a signature Treat-Cycle, popping up every Friday outside the hotel, that will serve cups of house-made ice cream.
The hotel’s bright new teal Treat-Cycle will be located street-side at Burrard and Alberni every Friday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., serving up house-made cups of ice cream created by the hotel’s executive pastry chef Eric Fernandez. The ice cream will be available for $7 per cup, with a new flavour served each week, like Lemon Meringue Pie, Dulce de Leche, Peaches and Cream and more. To kick it off in time for Canada Day, a signature celebratory scoop of Maple Salted Caramel Swirl ice cream will be offered to mark the occasion. Plus, during the Vancouver Pride Festival weekend, the Treat-Cycle will pop-up July 29 through July 31, featuring a specialty Neapolitan ice cream topped with a rainbow shortbread cookie, and $1 from every cup sold that weekend will be donated to the Vancouver Pride Society Community Bursary.
Limited quantities will be available every Friday on a first-come-first-served basis, till September 2. The weekly flavour schedule and weather-dependent updates will be shared on Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s social channels, so you can deliciously plan ahead. —Vita Daily
