It’s National IPA Day! Who’s Thirsty?

August 4, 2022

India Pale Ale, also known as IPA, is typically a crisp, hoppy beer that’s a favourite to many and made by pretty much every micro-brewery across the nation. Today we celebrate by sharing four of our faves. Cheers! —Catherine Dunwoody

Main St. Brewing Hazy Chain IPA  is a limited-time-only supper sipper with tropical notes and flavours of fruit cups, coconut and pineapple. Grab some cans to go, or get in on the IPA-focused feature flight of Hazy Chain, Tunnerman’s Old Head English IPA, Naked Fox IPA and a guest Kveik IPA from North Vancouver’s Shaketown Brewing served at the tasting room August 4 to 7.

Stanley Park Brewing Trail Hopper IPA is aromatic, juicy, with a bold flavour from generous additions of Citra and Simcoe hops. There is a non-alcohol version as well, new this year.

Twin Sails Volcano King Double Milkshake IPA with Pineapple & Coconut is summer in a can, the batch made with 400 pounds of pineapple purée and 50 pounds of toasted coconut then hopped with Citra, Amarillo and Sabro Cryo.

Superflux Wonderlove IPA is a limited release that doesn’t launch until this Friday, August5, but we’re letting you in the secret now ’cause we’re nice that way. Brewed with Galaxy, Citra, Idaho 7 Cryo, and Phantasm powder (derived from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grapes), this beauty boasts notes of grapefruit, pineapple and passionfruit.
