Montreal is now home to Café des Chats, the first cat café in North America. And an establishment of exceedingly fine, feline taste it is.
What makes the notion of bringing people and felines together, say reps from Royal Canin responsible for the well-being and comfort of the animals at the café, is their natural compatibility. Indeed, the eight cats within the space, all adopted from the SPCA, were tremendously hospitable, seemingly ready and willing to provide us with the experience of being cat owners—without actually having to make the commitment. The café itself is filled sleek, feline-friendly furniture, providing endless entertainment for coffee sippers and simultaneously promoting ownership for cats looking for their "furever" homes.
