The BC Craft Brewers Conference Is Back

November 3, 2022

For the first time since 2019 BC Craft Breweries are gathering to discuss all things beer on November 8 and 9 at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster. It’s not just about how to brew delicious beer, the conference will dive deep into the marketing and sales side of beer as well as finance and operations.

The BC Craft Brewers Guild represents more than 220 craft breweries from all over BC. Yes, you read that right, over 220 and the numbers are growing as our province’s population is consuming more craft beer than ever! The mission of the Guild is to help British Columbians understand the cultural, community and economic benefits of B.C.’s vibrant craft beer scene, and there are many!

The BC Craft Brewers Conference, a.k.a. BC Beer Con, hosted by the BC Craft Brewers Guild, is presented by Great Little Box Co., a key supplier to the industry, and will bring together key players from the BC Craft Brewing Industry for this annual networking and educational event.

Attendees will be treated to a keynote speaker each day, educational seminars, industry updates and an opportunity to network on the trade show floor. Social networking is back with an Industry Mingler, the Neon Nights Social at Another Beer Co., and The Official After Party at Steel & Oak Brewing. Tickets for the parties can be purchased separately.

Some not to miss presentations include Sustainable Brewing with Alexis Esseltine from Tin Whistle Brewing, and an update on the BC Ale Trail and craft beer tourism. If you haven’t downloaded the app for the BC Ale Trail, I suggest doing so, as well as following them on social media. They guide you around the province, pointing out not only breweries but also other cool places in any area you may be headed to.

The BC Craft Brewers Conference tickets are $199 for BC Craft Brewers Guild Members for the full conference, $259 for Non-Members, and $159 for students. Tickets for the Official After Party and the Neon Nights Social can be purchased separately for $25 each. All tickets are available online. —Cassandra Anderton
