This Wuxly Parka Is Designed For Wheelchair Users

November 4, 2022

Sustainable Canadian outerwear brand Wuxly has released its very first adaptive parka, made especially for wheelchair users, in partnership with Koolway Sports, which designs and manufactures outerwear for individuals with disabilities, enabling them to achieve their maximum level of independence.

Called The Crawford Parka (starting at $1,235), the features of the Wuxly x Koolway parka include: a half-back option that eliminates excess fabric in the back of the coat for those with molded chair backs; full sleeve zipper from the cuff to the bottom of the side seams; optional G / J tube openings; removable hood; reflective tape on the front and most importantly, the strength to endure Canadian winters. Another feature unique to this parka is the non-slip PVC grip on the bottom of the front blanket, gusset, and blanket back, offering grip and non-skid in both wet and dry conditions.

Made with recycled fabrics and animal-free insulation, the waterproof parka maintains Wuxly and Koolway’s joint commitment to animal welfare and sustainability while enduring -15C to -25C degree weather. Available in green, red and black colourways, the Crawford Parka will be available beginning today, with every parka customizable to fit its’ users needs. —Vita Daily
