It’s a match made for the most discerning of culinary adventurers and wine enthusiasts. On Thursday, December 8, for one night only, Oo La Cha—the acclaimed Mediterranean-inspired dining destination at Club Versante—is hosting a meticulously-curated wine dinner in collaboration with Mission Hill Family Estate winery, Canada’s only five-time winner of the prestigious Winery of the Year accolade.
Each of the dinner’s five courses has been specially created by executive chef William Lew, who designed the menu to enhance each exquisite wine pairing. Start with a welcome glass of Exhilarat!on Brut Rosé, followed by caviar and crudo paired with Terroir Collection Fritzi’s Vineyard 2021 Riesling. Next, it’s truffle venison tartare paired with Legacy Collection 2017 Quatrain. The main is dry-aged winter spiced duck paired with Legacy Collection 2017 Compendium, and cocoa-nib-crusted short rib paired with Legacy Collection 2018 Oculus. The dessert station will include: a “Frozen Lake Okanagan” anti-griddle station (maple walnut ice cream popsicles); pistachio-raspberry tart; and dark-cherry dacquoise. The wine pairing: Terroir Collection 2014 Silver Ranch Vineyard Riesling Icewine.
As well, for those seeking the ultimate wine-lover’s gift this season, there will be holiday wine sets available for purchase of two- and three-bottle bundles from Mission Hill Family Estate’s award-winning portfolio. Don’t miss it! —Vita Daily
