I wear a lot of hats. I am an entrepreneur, writer, designer, curator, animal lover, hand stamper, marketer, mother, dreamer and doer—not necessarily in that order.

When and why did you launch Suetables? What niche were/are you aiming to fill?

At home with young babies, I was craving creativity in my life. I wanted a connection to the outside world and to create something meaningful and beautiful. Suetables started as a basement hobby with one hand-stamped necklace. We now have four Canadian stores and a website that ships worldwide.

It’s Valentine’s Day! What does February 14 mean to you?

Valentine’s Day is a reminder to tell those you love that you DO love them! It’s not just about traditional love—it’s about all kinds of love— family love, friendship and also self love.

As a jewelry pro, could you give us your top three to five suggestions for Valentine’s Day gifts for different recipients in our lives?
