Welcome Home Jars To Welcome New Canadians

February 21, 2023

Learning a new language is one of the biggest barriers for newcomers when navigating a new country. Last year, Canada welcomed a record number of new immigrants and plans to welcome nearly 465,000 in 2023! Our pals at Kraft Peanut Butter want to help ease the transition for new immigrants to Canada.

Just in time for International Mother Language Day (February 21), Kraft Peanut Butter, known for nourishing connections with Canadians, is launching Welcome Home Jars: a custom line of limited-edition Kraft Peanut Butter Jars with labels translated into five of the most commonly spoken languages by new Canadians. Developed in partnership with leading language learning app Duolingo, Welcome Home Jars are available in Simplified Chinese, Hindi, Tagalog, Arabic and Spanish and feature an easily scannable QR code, driving to a website where newcomers can access a variety of resources in the same language.

Available exclusively online while supplies last, Canadian newcomers are encouraged to request a Welcome Home Jar in their first language. Canadians can also share a familiar taste of comfort by sending a jar to a newcomer they know or by sharing their first taste of Kraft Peanut Butter on social media using #WelcomeHomeJars.
