Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that naturally occurs in our skin and helps to maintain moisture levels. It is a popular ingredient in skincare products because of its ability to hydrate and plump the skin, giving it a more youthful appearance. Here are some reasons why hyaluronic acid is good for the skin:
- Hydration: Hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, making it an excellent ingredient for hydration. It helps to keep the skin moisturized and plump, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Anti-Aging: As we age, our skin’s natural hyaluronic acid levels decrease, leading to dryness and wrinkles. By adding hyaluronic acid to your skincare routine, you can help to combat the signs of aging and keep your skin looking youthful.
- Calming: Hyaluronic acid has anti-inflammatory properties that can help to calm the skin and reduce redness.
When it comes to using hyaluronic acid, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- Start with a clean face: Before applying hyaluronic acid, make sure your face is clean and free of any makeup or dirt.
- Apply to damp skin: Hyaluronic acid works best when applied to damp skin, so consider using it after you’ve cleansed your face or spritzing with a facial mist.
- Use a small amount: A little goes a long way with hyaluronic acid, so start with a small amount and work your way up if necessary.
- Layer it under other products: Hyaluronic acid works well as a serum or can be layered under other moisturizers or oils to maximize hydration.
- Consider the formulation: Hyaluronic acid can come in different formulations, such as gels, creams, or serums. Consider your skin type and needs when choosing a formulation that works best for you.
Overall, hyaluronic acid is a great ingredient to incorporate into your skincare routine for hydration, anti-aging, and calming benefits. —Vita Daily

It’s a dangerous ingredient. Sure it is natural in that you produce it, but as an additive it can be bad. It continues to draw moisture out of you – too much causing serious problems. I have witnessed a few persons who reacted badly to it and it continued to draw moisture out of the deep skin for weeks after one use. Some places around the world are trying to get it banned. I will never use any product that contains Hyaluronic acid and always tell others to avoid it. Please read up more on this additive to learn what it actually does.
