Delish General Store was an e-commerce site and occasional market stall selling beautiful heritage-inspired home goods and personal products until recently, when farm girl-turned-journalist (and now retailer) Tamara Komuniecki decided it was time to open shop—bricks and mortar style—in the heart of Granville Island.
With a fab "farm" theme, Delish stocks canning jars from around the world (names like Weck and Le Parfait are bound to impress preservers), cabin-chic home accessories, kitchenware, crafting supplies and local fashion. The highlight: the world’s first “jar bar,” featuring items for pimping mason jars, like a 12 oz. Cuppow top and a wool Faribault Mill jar cosy or a Mason bar top and a good-sized steel straw for sipping your morning smoothie (harvested fresh from your window box garden, right?).
Or, maybe just use the fresh fruits and vegetables from the fantastic food market right next door. —Alexandra Suhner Isenberg
