6 Pride Picks That Give Back

This just in: limited-edition beauty products and rainbow-hued accessories have newly been released, committed to giving back and supporting LGBTQ+ organizations. Shopping our favourite Pride Picks below to show love, self-expression and generosity this June. —Julia Dumbrell

Bailey Nelson inspires all people to be themselves with the launch of their new All For Joy Pride Collection. The Pride Collection features an array of brightly coloured frames to fit all unique styles and identities ($179). Embracing its LGBTQ+ team members and the spirit of the season, Bailey Nelson has also committed to donating $8,000 to Rainbow Railroad, which helps the community escape violence and persecution in their home countries.

To celebrate Pride Month, Pyrrha is donating $100 from each Rainbow Braided Bracelet purchase to Brave Trails, in support of LGBTQ+ youth leadership ($250). Available online and in the Vancouver showroom, Pyrrha’s range of hand-braided and brightly coloured hemp bracelets encourage bravery and self-love. 

This year, Kiehl’s has engaged the whimsical illustrations of queer Canadian artist Jon Hanlan to create a limited-edition version of the brand’s fan-favourite Ultra Facial Cream ($80). Partnering with The Get REAL movement to combat LGBTQ+ discrimination, $20 from each purchase of the limited-edition Jon Hanlan Ultra Facial Cream by Kiehl’s will be given to The Get REAL Movement.

On June 9, 100% of the proceeds from any MAC lipstick across the globe will be given to local nonprofits such as Friends of Ruby, Rainbow Railroad, AIDS Committee of Toronto and more. Offering lipstick shades for every colour of the rainbow in stores and online, MAC aims to raise $500K globally for the LGBTQ+ community on this first-ever Day of Giving ($25).

Quo encourages self expression with its new Pride Collection, available in stores and online (starting at $12). Their newly launched collection includes bright lip glosses, eyeshadows, nail polishes, false nails and lashes. The collection also features colourful accessories like key chains, backpacks and sunglasses. Throughout June, Shoppers Drug Mart will be donating 10% of sales (up to $25,000) from the Quo Beauty Pride Collection to Pflag Canada, which brings together family and friends of LGBTQ+ people across the country.

Acknowledging the legacy of the Stonewall Rebellion and the struggle for LGBTQ+ rights, Michael Kors and the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center have partnered for Pride. To announce its partnership and donation, MK released its Pride 2023 product capsule featuring the Slater Sling Pack and Elliot Backpack, both in sleek black with a rainbow-hued chain strap for a pop of Pride ($328, $478). The Raquel Pavé Watch by Michael Kors is also available for a limited time as part of the Pride 2023 product capsule, complete with kaleidoscopic rainbow trim around the dial ($865).
