7 Juicy Summer Lip Glosses

June 8, 2023

All we need for effortless summer glam is a little bit of juicy lip. The season’s newly launched glosses show we really can have it all: providing natural glam, much needed moisture and a super flattering plump all in one. —Julia Dumbrell

Achieve Sports Illustrated cover quality, recreating Martha Stewart’s natural lip look with exclusive products by Trinny London. Martha’s go-to nude lip is two-fold: starting with the Lip Luxe in Eugenie, a cream-based colour that lifts the whole complexion, topped off with Trinny London’s ‘pot of temptation’ Sheer Shimmer in Bunny ($40, $42).

Our new favourites, Clarins just released four essential lip oils for the season ($36). Available in mood-boosting flavours including mint, lavender, green tea and juicy lemon, these oils are as hydrating and nourishing as it gets.

Charlotte Tilbury captures the feeling of falling in love with their Summer of Lovegasm collection, highlighting their limited-edition Pinkgasm Jewel Lips gloss ($36). The gloss is made with Charlotte’s signature diamond powder, promising a jewel-like and kissable shine.

A lip balm, treatment and plumper all in one, the Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump Shift by Tarte holds dazzling secret powers ($31). This visibly plumping balm is made with hyaluronic acid, magically shifting the lips’ pH into a flattering custom pink shade.

Celebrating 20 years of their iconic shiny moisturising lip gloss, the Juicy Tubes from Lancome offer just as much feel-good texture and moisture two decades later ($32). The gloss continues to have a cult following (ourselves included), praised by beauty gurus for giving lips a Y2K-inspired shimmer.

The Harmony Lip Gloss by Cheekbone Beauty understands us: dedicated to long haired girls whose strands tend to get stuck in their gloss ($24). As the first Indigenous owned and founded cosmetics company, Cheekbone Beauty’s products are 100% vegan. The non-stick gloss is enriched by fair trade shea butter for a smooth application and sunflower seed oil to moisturise and soften.

Why has NYX Cosmetics coined its new ‘lip drip’ the Fat Oil ($14)? The viral gloss offers major perks – giving huge shine, protection and hydration, with an easy-to-apply applicator requiring only one swipe. These products are flying off their online shelves, so pick one up before they’re gone!
