Erin Treloar’s Go-To Summer Travel Products

June 9, 2023

Summer is (nearly) here, and with the mark of the new season comes busy social calendars and summer travel plans. While making the most out of the warmer weather can be exciting, summer travel plans can bring anxiety for many. Constantly being out of one’s routine and living out of a suitcase for days at a time can quickly become ungrounding. Thankfully, there are many ways to support ourselves through changing time zones and different scenery.

One of the best ways to do so is to have a plan. Being organized allows us to free up space in our brains, letting us feel more present and calm. Here, health expert Erin Treloar has compiled her favourite summer travel products that help her stay stress-free as she’s on the move—which she plans to be throughout much of this upcoming season!

  1. Lululemon’s Everywhere Belt Bag: For many, traveling to and from a destination can be a major stress trigger. This is why Erin loves Lululemon’s Everywhere Belt Bag—a cross-body bag (or fanny pack) that lets you carry your essentials in an easy and accessible way. Her recommendation: store your passport, phone, wallet, and lip balm here so that everything is in one place.
  1. One Wednesday Throw: How often have you stepped on a plane (or bus, or ferry) and felt chilled by the blasting air conditioning? This throw is amazing for that extra layer when you’re traveling, and is also great for beach dates or to act as a pillow when you’re sleeping in less than ideal conditions.
  1. Beekeepers Natural Throat Spray: For that extra immune system boost, this herbal throat spray—made from propolis, which is the defender of the beehive—is the perfect thing to accompany you on flights (or simply when you feel run-down from summer travels). Throw it in your carry-on bag and give your throat a few sprays throughout your journey.
  1. Blissy Eye Mask: Ideal for flights or sleeping in new spaces with a lot of natural light, the silk Blissy Eye Mask is comfortable, cozy, and luxurious-feeling—not to mention it helps you get those extra Z’s.
  1. K’Pure Hylauranic Acid Face Mask: For those who struggle with dehydration after a long flight, this biodegradable sheet mask is the cure-all. Meatn to boost collagen, moisturize skin, and increase elasticity, she recommends packing it in your carry-on bag and using it one once you arrive at your final destination to give your skin some extra love.
  1. Saje Peppermint Halo: Cooling, soothing, and especially helpful for those who struggle with headaches, Erin doesn’t go on any trip without this easy, roll-on essential oil. Throw it in your Everywhere Belt Bag while you’re on the go!
  1. Insight Timer App: For those who arrive extra early for flights, why not do a guided meditation to start your trip off on a good note? Download the Insight Timer app onto your phone for guided meditations and practices by some incredible teachers across the world.
  1. Alo Moves App: Moving your body will help your nervous system to stay regulated when you’re out of your usual routine. Erin loves the Alo Moves App—a workout app for movement breaks anytime, anywhere.
  1. WTHN – Crystal Ear Seed Kit to Chill and UPlift: In Traditional Chinese Medicine, ear seeds are used as a simple tool to reduce stress and find balance. These small, adhesive beads can be placed on acupressure points on your ears to promote overall wellness.
  1. Biossance Vegan Lip Balm: No one likes having dry lips—especially on vacation. This vegan lip balm is deeply nourishing, fragrance-free, and helps to restore plumpness of your lips.
