Oyama Sausage Co offers the charcuterie selection of your dreams. For over 30 years, Oyama has been making sausages, salamis, pates, and pepperoni. Their pork pie is a perfect picnic pick. For sliced salami, try their truffle pork, or, if you’d rather take part of, or a whole sausage, the Chorizo Rioja has a nice hum of heat.

Dozens of parks in Vancouver allow drinking, so stop into Liberty Wine Merchants and pick up a bottle of something chilled from their fridge. Each Liberty location curates their selections based on the needs of the neighbourhood. The staff can guide you to find something local or international.

No picnic is complete without a selection of cheese. Benton Brothers Cheese has an impressive variety of cheeses from around the world. The Red Leicester has a mild, rich flavour and beautiful colour, and the Bleu d’Auvergne is a great introductory blue cheese. Benton also has a selection of crackers, nuts, jams, and chutneys.

Lastly, for something sweet, grab some canelés from La Bise. La Bise opened recently in the market after selling at farmers markets around the city. They sell a variety of flavours of these French delicacies come in a variety of flavours from salted caramel to passionfruit.
