7 Candy Coloured Jewelry Must-Haves

June 18, 2023

Magenta, violet, azure, pink, chartreuse and yellow are delicious hues adding a splash to accessories this season. With the Barbie movie already on the cusp of being an undeniable hit, fashion is pulling inspiration from the silver screen. Jumping right into the thick of it, we have compiled an array of candy-coloured jewelry this season. —Brieanna McCutcheon

Youthful in colour and unique asymmetrical designs, Timeless Pearly is a conversation starter. A young company created in 2017, jewelry is attention-grabbing and expressive with its many textures and colour combinations. Deceptive at first, given the ornate mix-and-match look, the fun that exudes the line is complimented by the skill of craftsmanship. Handmade in Paris, each piece is unique and special. A fav is the Candy necklace for C$325.

Lisa Gozlan’s jewelry can make one smile, with her Happy Face collection taking centre stage and trending with younger generations. Many different gems and styles are available in the line, but the line tends to be slightly more traditional regarding the shapes and sizes of the pieces. The Adore Bracelet is funky, charming, yet blingy with its 18K Yellow Gold exterior.

A talented team of artists handcrafts the Vancouver-based company Wolf Circus. All collections are made to be built upon, adding layers and textures to looks over time. This demi-fine jewelry line was founded in 2010 by Fiona Morrison and is meant to embody self-expression. A more toned-down pick than others on our list, opt for a pop of colour with the Zoie Bracelet In Pink.

A candy necklace comes to mind when hearing the word candy to describe jewelry pieces. Leah Alexandra was established in 2006 from an obsession with gemstones. A Canadian-born company, you can find Leah Alexandra in the trendy neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant in Vancouver. A way to add energy to any outfit this summer is by adding the Rainbow Jade Gemstone Necklace. Grab two or three shades of the necklace and layer these bad boys for texture and colour.

With one storefront in Toronto and one in Vancouver, the bi-costal line Melanie Auld is well on its way to establishing itself. The line consists of demi-fine and fine pieces and has something for most. The Lime Enamel Spacer can be worn to space out charms in a necklace or bracelet or thrown into earrings.

Last on our list is the well-known Mejuri. With a mission to redefine luxury, the brand’s latest collection, Gelato Charlotte, boasts rings, hoops, and earrings in gelato-inspired colours. Perfect for any hot day or night, the Gelato Slim Enamel Ring is only C$98 and comes in various shades for staking or individual wear.

Come on Barbie, let’s get sparkly! Inspired by the glamour and sophistication of the doll of the summer, the Barbie-core aesthetic embraces feminine styles and classic pink shades, paying homage to the woman who can do it all. On the heels of this hot trend, several Lover’s Tempo jewelry pieces showcase the charm and fun of the Barbie-core aesthetic, including these Heart Enamel Huggie Hoop Earrings ($60), coated with pastel pink enamel and decorated with a crystal heart.
