We’ve discovered some new holiday reading in a rather unexpected place—Vancity’s new Good Money blog.
Here, we’re finding decor tips and recipe roundups for Christmas (fancy some Chocolate Bark?), plus a slew of articles to help get us into tip top financial shape for 2017: Everything from how to create a will (using a kit costing only $35) to tips for saving data to lower your smartphone bill.
There are also ideas for keeping your kids (and you) occupied over Christmas break, with a roundup of inexpensive crafting ideas for kids and even a recipe for making gluten-free chocolate cake using leftover rice (!).
Being BC’s Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island-focused blog there’s also lots of relevant information for us West Coasters, like how to live well despite the high cost of living in this crazy housing market. We loved learning how to score cheaper flights during peak season and how to price match our grocery purchases like a pro.
Well, gotta get going, we have a gluten free rice chocolate cake to make!
