National Rum Week is coming up, and we’re celebrating with cocktail recipes courtesy of Bacardí Rum. Mix these drinks up for Pina Colada Day (July 10), National Mojito Day (July 11) and National Daquiri Day (July 19); they are the perfect refreshers for the summer heat we’ve been battling! —Vita Daily
Bacardí Mojito
1 1/2 oz Bacardí Superior Rum
3/4 oz Lime Juice
12 Fresh Mint Leaves
2 Tsp Extra Fine Sugar
3/4 oz Club Soda
1 Sprig of Fresh Mint
Take the lime wedges and squeeze them in the glass. Gently press together the limes and sugar. Bruise the mint leaves by clapping them between your palms, rub them on the rim of the glass and drop them in. Next, half fill the glass with crushed ice, add the rum and stir. Top with crushed ice, a sprig of mint and club soda.
Bacardí Piña Colada
1 1/2 oz Bacardí Superior Rum
2 1/4 oz Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz Cream of Coconut
1/4 oz Lime Juice
Pour over ice, give it a gentle stir and garnish with a piece of pineapple.
Bacardí Daquiri
2 oz Bacardí Superior Rum
1 oz Lime Juice
1/3 oz Extra Fine Sugar
Place sugar and freshly pressed lime juice into a cocktail shaker and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Pour the Bacardí Superior rum and fill the shaker with half-cubed ice, followed by some half-crushed ice. Shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled. Strain through a fine tea strainer into a chilled coupette.
