Holiday entertaining is one of my favourite things to do: I love drawing up guest lists, playlists and even shopping lists (full disclosure, I’m a Virgo). This year I used the new PC Plus app and card (see more deets below!) to keep me organized and to save money, something I also like this time of year. First stop: Loblaws City Market in North Vancouver.
The bright graphics, shiny red floors, the immense "cave" of cheeses, and all the organic and natural products are fun to check out. Even the watermelon art is impressive.
I always stop by the deli counter first (not to mention that I earned points for my purchases here) for their prosciutto cotto (yes, my children insist on it) as well as a huge number of other prosciuttos—one of the best selections of charcuterie anywhere.
After just two shops with my PC Plus card I earned $40 off my grocery bill (that’s free Joe Fresh toques for everyone in the family).
Always in our cart…Moroccan Cigars appetizers, coconut chicken lollipops, mini T-Bone lamb chops, and the delicious Pad Thai spring rolls. Great appetizers and holiday entertaining ideas can be found on on pc.ca
At checkout I scan my app and watch the points add up. Want to know what we made with all this in my cart?
Tune in next week for recipe ideas, entertaining tips, and a sneak peek at our soiree. This is just the tip of the holiday entertaining iceberg – for more, check out the PC Insider’s Report.
And about the PC Plus program that has us feeling our cart with good cheer… to get your savings going, head into a Loblaws or Real Canadian Superstore, or use the PC Plus App (how modern!) to start accumulating your PC points today. Points = grocery savings. It’s that simple.
