Foodies get on your mark. That’s because the 14th annual EAT! Vancouver Food & Cooking Festival is fast approaching and tickets are moving just as quick.
Bringing together Canada’s most renowned chefs, culinary stars, restaurant owners and experts including TV star and best-selling author, Chef Michael Smith, this year’s festival comes loaded with a variety of events for the devouring, with proceeds going to the Vancouver Food Bank.
Among the highlights:
The Food Trends Panel: For those who want to brush-up their foodie knowledge and enjoy splendid eats too, you’ll want to reserve a spot for The Food Trends Panel (Oct. 5). Featuring Jackie Ellis, Sarah Stewart and Denise Breyley, the panel will share their ideas and insights, with regional foods for tasting.
The Dinner Series: For two nights only (Oct. 4 & 5th), the Dinner Series plays host to top chefs from other provinces including Rob Gentile of Toronto’s Buca who will partner-up with local super-stars, taking over the kitchens of West, Royal Dinette and Farmer’s Apprentice to name a few.
And for an evening of deliciousness all-around, EAT Harvest (Oct. 6th) will be THE place to be. Headlined by Chef Michael Smith, it includes food stations of tapas-sized dishes prepared by 17 top chefs, premium California wines, and desserts provided by local favourites including Bella Gelateria. —Aurea Dempsey
