Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre has finally opened in Calgary. Located in the East Village, Studio Bell is a huge deal for the city and is years in the making.
The new attraction celebrates Canadian music and there is a lot to see and do. The huge space houses 22 exhibition stages (galleries), a recording studio, a performance hall and classrooms. While you’ll want to take your time exploring everything, don’t miss the three music halls of fame—Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. And try your hand at one of your favourite instruments with an interactive lesson at the Plugged and Unplugged stages. —Sara Samson
