B.C. Wine + B.C. Chocolate = Heaven

What happens when you combine made-in-British Columbia wine and chocolate? Heaven.

A very cool product launched this week from Canadian chocolate giant Purdys Chocolatier that features a very special creation from one of B.C.’s very own “legends”.  Based in Naramata, Dawn and Doug Lennie’s Legend Distilling celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023 and was subsequently contacted by Purdys to purchase a significant quantity of the delicious fruit-forward spirit, Manitou, to feature in its 2023 Canadian Wine + Spirits Collection. Manitou is an “all-natural organic liqueur with miles of orange flavour and a finish of tart sumac berries” that were wild foraged in Naramata.

Housed in a historic former doctor’s office, Legend creates premium whiskeys, vodkas, gins and liqueurs inspired by the legends of the Okanagan; its spirits can purchased online and the special Purdy’s collection is now available both in-store and online while supplies last. —Vita Daily
