All 65 half-hours of The
Raccoons series and specials have been painstakingly restored and remastered from the original 35mm film elements. It was a huge technical undertaking involving assets and restoration experts in four different countries on three continents. The results are amazing—the episodes have never been seen like this before, as the technology at the time did not allow the detail and brilliance of the original filmed artwork to be captured on broadcast tape.
The series and specials originally aired in over 180 territories and were known for exploring themes like
the environment, pollution, the importance of family and friends, kindness, bullying and sharing. We cannot wait to rewatch it all! (Fingers crossed Denver, the Last Dinosaur is next!)
