Whether you’re looking for a beverage during brunch to perk you up or you’re craving an after dinner energy boost, a coffee cocktail will hit the spot. Vancouver has a few different coffee cocktails to choose from, both hot and cold, so we put together a list of our top five favourites. —Bronwyn Lewis
Maxine’s Cafe and Bar in Vancouver’s West End serves His Dudeness on their brunch, happy hour, and dinner menu. This coffee cocktail comes piping hot and is made with Absolut, Kahlua, and oat milk, and it’s topped with Dalgona coffee foam.
Another hot cocktail can be found at the The Flying Pig. Their TFP Coffee is made with coffee, as well as Bearface whiskey, Baileys, and Kahlua. The hefty dollop of whipped cream melts into the coffee.
For a classic espresso martini, the best place is Per Se Social Corner. Their Per Se Pick Me Up is made with Van Gogh Espresso vodka, a house-made Baileys foam, and Ciclo espresso. You can also get other hot classic coffee cocktails like an Irish or Spanish Coffee.
Now Forage does serve an Espresso Martini but their Breakfast and Brunch menus also have the Whisky Latte which is a delicious hot coffee cocktail made with Forty Creek Spike Honey Spiced Whisky and locally roasted Mogiana espresso.
H Tasting Lounge just launched their new holiday cocktail menu, the 12 Cocktails of Christmas Shopping. The Holiday Menu cocktail is their version of a frosty Christmas frappuccino, with Solera eggnog, Caffe Lucano, espresso, nutmeg foam, and caramel macchiato caramel.
