Hi Renate! Tell us a little bit about you and what do you do.
I use social media platforms to show women 50-60 and beyond that they can still wear what they want, and feel great doing so. Life is not over after 50.
How do you use your platform to impact those who follow you? What unique perspective/spin do you think “mature” content creators can bring to the table?
Mature content creators are showing the younger crowd that there is life after menopause and that we are still very relevant at our age. We are still very much interested in fashion and looking and feeling our best.
What are your personal style and beauty mantras/philosophies?
Personally I think you should do and wear what makes you feel good. I find the older I get the less I care what others think. It’s very liberating.
What’s your top current fashion pick? Beauty product pick?
My top current fashion pick are chunky black loafers. I picked up a pair on my latest trip to Germany and they are very comfortable but yet very current and stylish. I feel great when I wear them. My top current beauty product is the tinted sunscreen from Vivier. I don’t use a lot of makeup and I can use this as my every day foundation.
What’s the hardest/most challenging thing you’ve been through in your life, and how did you overcome/surmount it?
The hardest thing I went through in my life was having childhood cancer. I had retinoblastoma as a young child and as a result lost my right eye (I wear a prosthetic eye). It is still something I am reminded of on a daily basis and would be lying if I said it doesn’t bother me. It still makes me feel self conscious at times. I do remind myself how lucky I am to have survived it and was able to go on to live a great life. I am very thankful for that.

I have been following Renata for several years. Her sense of style and confidence she exudes gives me the same. It’s her energy, her warm appearence and smile that I look forward to daily. I have put several outfits together from her videos and have taken snaps and put them into a fashion file folder. I’m turning 70 this year but feel like 40. Thank you Renata you’re like a part of my family. ?
