New Eats: Flyjin Café & Restaurant

Lifestyle & Parenting

flyjinFlyjin is a new hotspot in Old Montreal that’s doing both modern daytime hangout and trendy nighttime resto right.

Most mornings (save Sundays) the scents of Hof Kelsten croissants and cookies and Trou De Beignes doughnuts (a local bakery that specializes in bacon and smores) fill the air. Later, the place transitions from cute, artsy café to Asian fusion underground izakaya dining experience. On offer: top-notch dumplings, spring rolls and $1 oysters on Wednesdays—a weekly experience you should put on your fall to-do list.

Sounds like two much of a good thing! —Ariella Starkman
