We loved being a part of last year’s Workout For Women’s Day, and are looking forward to doing it again next month!
Facilitated by Shana Alexander, Andi Semenik and Danya Rogen of Stronger Together Vancouver, this event is a coming together of local trainers and fitness studios around International Women’s Day to offer classes for charities that support all girls, women and all others who experience gender discrimination. Running March 2 to 8, it includes an incredible and diverse offering of in-person and virtual classes, allowing for a large number of participants to join from all around the world! Class types include laughter yoga, self-defence, bounce cardio, Krav Maga, ’90s ride, kickboxing and more! The best part? Proceeds from this year’s Workout For Women’s Day event will benefit three meaningful charities.
The campaign has raised more than $145,000 in the last five years, and is looking to add to that total this year; we can’t think of a better reason to break a sweat. —Vita Daily
