Remember when being sick entailed less moping and more being indulgently babied while you lay in bed napping and reading magazines?
This time of year inevitably fuels our childhood nostalgia, especially when the combo of a couple too many late nights out and a constant cacophony of office sneezes has us tapping out. We miss having someone make soup for us. Along with vats of Emergen-C and dubious droplets of oregano oil, soup’s our cure-all, though canned chicken noodle tends toward being a joke sicker than we are. So we’re pretty pleased Happy Planet’s introduced its organic Kawartha Chicken Noodle Soup, which is made with organic chicken, comes fresh in an appealing sealed pouch and, most importantly, tastes how mom used to make it (with orzo and thyme; like, mom? Is that you?). That just leaves us to cue Gilmore Girls on Netflix, brew tea and curl up like drowsy little xiao long baos.
