Township 7 Pinot Gris from the Naramata Bench estate winery has notes of stone fruit like pear and apricot (it IS the Okanagan after all), has a gorgeous summery sunset colour, and a match made in BC wine heaven paired with grilled shrimp salad or salmon.

CedarCreek Estate Riesling is the ideal balance between intense fruit and minerality with just enough acidity and slight sweet making it excellent with spicy Asian dishes, or fish tacos. Because even though it’s summer, one cannot live on barbecue alone.

Narrative Syrah Viognier 2019 is lovely served slightly chilled in the summer months, and winery sourced Syrah and Viognier grapes from two separate Osoyoos vineyards in the South Okanagan. This blend is downright sexy and delicious.

Mission Hill Sauvignon Blanc  is bright, fruity with aromas of tropical banana, pineapple and mango, but brought down to earth with some grassy characteristics too. Love it with oysters, smoked salmon, and soft ripened cheeses.

Solvero Rosé 2023  is made with 100% Pinot Noir, resulting in a dry rosé with the prettiest pale pink hue and the whiff of fresh strawberries, raspberries and floral favours. Far too sophisticated to be grouped in the unsavoury term for lesser rosé known as patio pounder, this BC beauty should be on rotation at every summer dinner party you host.

Garzon Albarino Reserva from Uruguay, notes of fruit and white flowers, citrus and mineral notes on the palate that are complemented by balanced acidity and an unctuous finish. Pair with a citrusy prawn salad, and is extra nice with ceviche.

Rodney Strong Russian River Pinot Noir Rose from Sonoma County has a fresh acidity, and a clean finish. Perfectly paired with Thai food.

Villa Maria’s Sauvignon Blanc Private Bin Marlborough from New Zealand seems absolutely ideal with summer seafood and crisp salads with its fresh citrus and passionfruit notes, plus hints of fresh herbs. Always great value for the affordable price tag too.

Township 7 2020 Seven Stars Polaris is the answer to the obvious question of “what sparkling wine just hits in the summer?” Serve this well chilled, letting this sparkler, made in the traditional method, do it’s fabulous and fizzy thing. Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, with notes of fresh baked biscuits to peach and lime.
