Festival Foodies Flock to Old Montreal

January 19, 2017

The weather outside may be frightful, but the 10th annual edition of the Happening Gourmand food festival gives plenty of good reason to press pause on our binge watch du jour and dine out.

Reason number 1: smoked maple-glazed braised veal short ribs at Maggie Oakes. Reason number 2: wood-fired pizza at Bevo. Reason number 3: classic mac and cheese at Taverne Gaspar. And we’re just getting started! Did we mention that all of these come as table d’hote meals for just $23, $26 or $30, with $1 from every meal going to Dans La Rue?

Better clear the calendar until February 5: you have a lot of eating to do. —Christine Laroche
