The Bovine
Sex Club just got even better. Famous for the best bar name, the
secret concerts, the most festive jager shots, and possibly the worst
bathrooms in town- the rock and roll den is now making room for the
before-10 crowd.
A staircase just inside the Bovine’s doors leads up-up-upstairs to the
new rooftop Tiki Bar.
I love the Bovine, and have spent more nights there than I can remember
– but none since having a kid. This kind of afternoon is more my speed
now- up here with the family, listening to the patio tunes, drinking out
of a coconut, and seeing everyone I have missed so dearly.
The big man, owner Darryl Fine is a legend ’round these parts, with his
hand in some of the hottest hangouts (think Rock Lobster, Bovine, and
Shanghai Cowgirl). He knows what’s missing before you do, so get ready
to get really familiar with this place.
Where you go to talk about big things in a light-hearted environment.
Where the rum gets to your head and you forget where you are. But, when
you stumble home- it’s still light out.
Bound to be the next big thing- if y’all can ever find it.
Just follow the industrial debris, and try to avoid grabbing my coconuts.
