Mental health and addiction is an important and timely issue in British Columbia —especially as our province faces a full-blown opioid crisis. In the last six years alone, St. Paul’s Hospital has seen a 112% increase in visits related to mental health and addiction. This story is one that approaches a solution.
St. Paul’s Foundation’s Brilliant, held this year on September 24th at the Rocky Mountaineer Train Station, is an evocative night of fashion, art and dance celebrating iconic artists touched by mental health and addiction. All proceeds raised will go towards the opening of a new Mental Health Hub (the HUB) at St. Paul’s, directly adjacent to the emergency department, which will provide care for those suffering from mental health and addiction-related emergencies.
A beautiful quote from Vladimir Markovich, Event Producer: “The show will be a great story, delivered through the work of creative Vancouverites, and will be presented to stimulate the audience while speaking to the challenges of living in today’s world.”
We’re giving a pair of tickets to some special readers to attend the gala on Saturday, September 24th. Simply enter to win by filling out our form below. Vancouver residents only please, limit one entry per person. Contest ends on September 23rd at 12:00 AM PST. Good luck!
By entering this contest, you’re also signing up to receive emails from VITA. All good stuff (we promise).
