There’s no lack of taco and burger joints in TO but, when it comes to hearty eastern European fare, we’re seriously lacking.
Until now. Midtown newcomer Schnitzel Hub features a cosy ambiance (think rustic chic) and hard-to-resist handmade pierogies, fried-to-crisp-and-juicy-perfection veal schnitzel (a serving so ample, we only managed to eat half the lunch-sized version) and plump Oktoberfest sausage. Do yourself a favour and taste the organic house-infused vodkas in surprisingly delicious flavours like horseradish and ginger lemon.
Welcome to our comfort-food resto rotation. —Karen Kwan
