What inspired you to create eco-conscious home goods, and how does Droplet Home Goods stand out in the home decor and linens space, especially for holiday gifting?
After I had my first child I was looking for a quality, super soft towel to wrap him in & protect his sensitive skin after our bath time rituals. I didn’t want to trawl department store aisles, or wait forever & pay crazy amounts in shipping & duties, so I created it myself!
All our goods are designed with purpose, to bring simple joys to your everyday moments. Our goods are made by our family run manufacturing partner, with the world’s best cotton. While our product line is intentionally small, there’s something for everyone—from our plush towels, XXL blankets, lightweight Turkish towels, and tea towels too!
With sustainability becoming a key focus for many shoppers, what tips do you have for those looking to give thoughtful, eco-friendly gifts this holiday season?
Buy something you know they’ll use time and time again and that you know is good quality. We are all busy in our lives, but taking those extra few minutes to ensure you know something came from a good place is always worth it. I also find shopping small businesses helps to ensure quality. I also always ask for suggestions! When I find a brand I love and trust, I find they have a network of brands they know and love too! And, always read the label to see what certifications the product has!
Can you share some of your favorite holiday gift ideas from Droplet Home Goods that are both stylish and environmentally friendlet.
We have something for every budget! My favourite go-to gift is our signature Ocean blanket. It’s lightweight but so, so cozy, big enough to share, has. luxurious feel, and makes such a great, thoughtful gift. Our tea towels also make a great gift – we use them in the kitchen and also in the bathroom as a hand towel. Plus, they’re a zero waste product, made sustainably and locally here in Vancouver from our Turkish towel material.
How do you ensure that your products maintain a balance between sustainability and luxury, making them perfect for holiday gifts that feel special?
We work with the best suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that our goods not only feel and look good, but come from a good place. Having a luxurious feel AND being ethically made are our two most important pillars. We believe you can have a beautiful, thoughtful product that’s also been made in the best way possible.
What trends are you seeing in home decor and linens this holiday season, and how can eco-conscious gifting contribute to creating a cozy, festive home?
We try not to cave too much to trends as we believe our goods are timeless and can go in every home! Fall and winter do always tend to lean toward cozier and richer colours, so we find our Ocean blankets, or our darker towel colours—Olive, Fog and Ocean—tend to be popular! We find that a set of our Clay or Grass tea towels—our accidental holiday colours!—always lend themselves to a festive celebration too!

A forever classic is our blankets – Ocean or Happy! They make THE perfect gift! We also love gifting people something they need but they would never think to buy – we’ve gifted towel sets to new parents or people who have recently moved and they’re always so well received as people replace their old towels so rarely! For a gift with a smaller budget, a set of tea towels is so thoughtful & useful! And our Turkish towels make a great gift for the travel lover or condo living. There truly is something for everyone & every budget!
