geeking out

September 11, 2013

The annual Beakerhead Festival kicks off in Calgary bringing together arts and engineering.

The five day festival explores the fascinating ways art, science and engineering intersect with a variety of exhibits, celebrations and events. There are lots of great events to catch and we wont be missing the headline event, The Tremendous & Curious World of Beakerhead (September 13). It brings together Canadian space superstar, Chris Hadfield, the former commander of the international space station, along with Compressorhead, the worlds first robot band from Germany and Lauren Segal, a Toronto-based opera singer with a masters degree in physics.
